Moving, Cars and stuff

So i realized that i haven't posted about most of the interesting things that have been going on in our lives lately because we don't have pictures. but pictures or no, i need to tell about stuff. we recently moved into a new place (pictures to follow) and it's ADORABLE!! it's a little old so it's got some interesting personality (metal cabinets in the kitchen) but it's still great and we can now have more than 6 people in our house at a time!! :)

the other exciting news is that we bought a new car!!! and when i say new car, i mean we bought a used one from a guy in Ephraim. but it runs great, is super cute and best of all is an AUTOMATIC!! which means i can drive it without fear of killing everyone on the road. i drive it back and forth to work every day now and love the independence!!

so that's pretty much what's going on with us. i'll put some pictures up later :)

Arches

So last week we went to Arches with some of Matt's fam. SOO fun for a geology nerd like me :) i even got up the courage to hike to some of the scary places (see under delicate arch)

chocolate dream

I made this at the relief society activity and have meant to post the recipe ever since. Here it is:
Chocolate Dream
3/4 cup butter (softened)
2 cups flour
1cup powdered sugar
8 oz cream cheese softened
1 tub whipped cream
1 large package of instant chocolate pudding

First, mix the softened butter and the flour to make a crust. press the crust into the bottom of a 13 X 9 pan. bake the crust at 375 degrees for 15 minutes. let cool.
then mix cream cheese and powdered sugar. fold in half of the tub of whipped cream. spread on top of cooled crust. put back in fridge to cool.
make chocolate pudding (or any kind of pudding. that's where this dish is very versatile).
spread the chocolate pudding over the cream cheese mix and top it off with the other half of the tub of Whipped cream.

Tender mercies of the Lord

I've noticed lately an increase in the blessings the Lord has been poring out on our family whether it be lunch provided when i didn't really bring any or reminders of important things that just HAPPENED to be due that day. Today's blessing is a key. Someone had taken a key of mine at work that is very important. i asked around if anyone had taken it, but no response. i asked someone who even though she knew she hadn't taken it, still looked around on her desk and even in her purse to see if somehow it was there (so sweet) but to no avail. i wasn't sure what to do next, so i asked Heavely Father for help. then later on this morning, that self same sweet lady came to my desk with the key in hand. someone had taken it to get into her office (allowed) and forgot to give the key back to me. she found it as she was ruffling through some papers. I'm so grateful for a Father in Heaven who is SO aware of our lives that He helped someone else find my key for me. Love it!!!!

a while without a post

so i know it's been a while since we posted anything. there isn't too much going on in our lives. we're just living the dream :) work is going really well and matt's doing really well in his classes :) gotta love this stage of life!!!

valentine's day

so i woke up on vantine's day to a beautiful orange daisy sitting next to my bed :) we had exchanged gifts at about midnight the night before because we were so excited :) it was very sweet :D

My little Ruru is all grown up and has gotten herself hitched to a gentleman named Kynaston Butchart :) She is now Ruth Butchart, or Ruru Butchart to those who know her well :) The wedding was wonderful and they're really happy. they'll be on their way to Rexburg after their honeymoon :D love it!!!! Congrats Ruru!!!
